Hello,
I have some questions about the house rules concerning my kind of costume. I am a kigurumi performer and would like to come to AnimeCon 2010 together with 1 other kigurumi.
Maybe you don't know what kigurumi is. We wear a suit that covers the whole body and a mask for the head. This way we look like anime characters. Here is a picture of how I look like in kigurumi: http://kiwikig.webs.com/photos/White-skirt/white_skirt_2.JPG
In kigurumi I don't give any information about myself. No speaking, no mask-off, no identity, ... that is part of my acting, because I want to keep privacy. I'm very concerned about my identity.
I have read the rules of the convention and found nothing that would force me to reveal my identity. I don't wear any weapons on my costume, just a mask that covers the head and a bodysuit that covers the whole body.
My questions (please could answer someone of the official staff/con-team):
Is kigurumi allowed on AnimeCon 2010? Can I keep my identity private when I am in kigurumi costume? Can I just write my performer name "Kiwi" on the convention-badge? Are there any issues or restrictions a kigurumi performer might have, because of the costume? Are there maybe areas I can not access in kigurumi costume?
Thank you for your help :) Kiwi |

Hi, for registration purposes we, the organisation, do need to know who you are. Should you want to attend any events we deem 18+, we will require proof of age. So, unless you want to order alcoholic stuff at the bar or want to attend events we consider 18+, you can walk around the event in your outfit. During registration, however, we do need to know some of your details. However, your convention badge can read Kiwi, if you want this to be so. |
In the name of punishment; I will moon you! |
